To achieve this deeper level of security, iDcentrix has developed patented technology that includes four key elements:

1. Swiss Banknote paper: Customized pre-printing on Swiss-made cotton banknote paper, embedded with a wide choice of security features (overt, covert, forensic). Customer-specific security features are “in" the substrate, not applied on the outside.  No other company incorporates this type of high-security substrate, identical to that used for Swiss currency. Swiss banknotes are known worldwide for being counterfeit-proof.  This paper is available by exclusive contract.
2. Security inkjet personalization: Special color inkjet printing combined with weaving technology causes printed information to deeply penetrate the paper.
3. Fusion technology: Irrevocably welds an outer polycarbonate polymer sleeve into the paper fibers at high temperatures. All components are melted into a high-performance, long-lasting polycarbonate sleeve, or other plastics on request.
4. Translucency: Ours is the only card on the market that can be authenticated by simple visual inspection. Overt elements such as watermarks, or see-through registers are visible when the card is held up to the light.

The unique process creates an ID card with a solid outside material that is impregnable. Unlike standard multilayer plastic cards, which can be delaminated, no adhesives are used to compromise security. The transparent border is a security feature ensuring impenetrability of the card.
